The Washington University Women's Club Soccer Team was founded
in 1999 to provide an enjoyable and competitive intercollegiate
opportunity for the university's female soccer players. Membership
is open to all female members of the WU community. We play
most of our outdoor games in the fall and spring seasons.
During the winter season, we participate in an indoor soccer
league at the St. Louis Soccerdome. We are a competitive team
with a range of talent. Everyone loves soccer and most played
in high school, but we are always looking for new players
(no matter what year or amount of experience) We are a structured
team with
scheduled games, practices, and a student coach, but we do
not require the commitment of a varsity team. We are serious
about playing and competing, but we always do our best to
enjoy ourselves and have a good time!
The club practices on Wednesday and Sundays with aid of
the ball machine and participates in NCTTA tournaments once
a semester in the Midwest Division.
We are here to have fun, but
also to be competitive. We play 3-5 matches a semester,
travel to colleges like Northwestern and U of Illinois and
play in regional and national tournaments in the Spring.
Player dues usually range between $50-100 per semester.
Average Time Commitment:
During the fall semester we practice 2-3 days a week. In the spring semester, we will have 3 practices a week with a throwing practice on the weekends.
We attend roughly 3 away tournaments in the fall and 4-5 away tournaments in the spring in addition to hosting a tournament in mid-March. For away tournaments we will generally leave on Friday afternoon and return on Sunday night.

Anyone who is committed to Ultimate is welcome on Contra. We have about 50 members on both an A and B team and can accommodate all skill levels. That being said, we are especially excited about high school athletes with no prior ultimate experience. We have found that skills
from many team sports (soccer, basketball, football, etc.) translate well onto the Ultimate field. While some contend that tennis players make the best Ultimate players, we are never blind to freakishly fast track athletes. Small obstacles, like not being able to throw a disc, are easily overcome.
Team Description:
Contra is Washington University's club Ultimate Frisbee team. We play the highest level of collegiate Ultimate (there are no varsity teams), and we do it pretty well.
WUWU welcomes all levels and abilities of ultimate players.
We encourage players to come two practice twice a week (Tuesdays
and Thursdays, Saturdays if possible) to play and learn ultimate.
We travel to approximately five tournaments a year, most of

Women's Club Volleyball is a competitive club with twoteams.
We travel on average 3 times a semester for tournaments, and
we practice twice a week. We are a nice mix between varsity
and intramural
volleyball. It's less of a time commitment than varsity but
more competitive
than intramurals. We also fundraise in order to travel and
to keep our own
expenses low.
Water polo has been one of the strongest club sports at
wash u. In the 4 years of it's existence the team has made
it to national championships twice. Last season we finished
with a 11-1 record. This year we have a lot of new faces on
the team. We recruited 14 new players. Some with significant
previous experience. The team looks better than ever. Our
main competitors this year are Western Illinois and Lindenwood.
We're looking to perform strong and try to make it to nationals
again this year.
